After purchasing a gas boiler, users also face challenges related to transportation and installation. Ensuring the proper installation and smooth operation of the boiler is a key concern for many users. Drawing on years of experience in boiler installation, Zhongjie Special Installation has compiled the following important considerations, hoping to help more users understand the correct procedures for installing gas boilers.
1. Gas boilers must not be installed in bedrooms or rooms directly connected to bedrooms, nor may they be installed in basements with poor ventilation.
2. To ensure safety and stability, users must choose a professional installation company with qualifications for installing gas boilers to carry out the installation.
3. The 220V power supply for the gas boiler must be connected to a reliable grounding wire to ensure safe operation.
4. The connection between the gas pipeline and the gas burner requires a pipeline specifically designed for gas.
5. After the gas pipeline has been installed, open the gas valve and use soapy water to check the connection points for any gas leaks. If a leak is detected, close the valve, repair or replace the sealing gasket, and then recheck the gas boiler until no leaks remain.
6. Boiler installation must be level or reasonably planned, with pipes kept as short, few in number, and thick as possible—meaning minimize pipe length, reduce bends, and use larger pipe diameters. In addition, the main return-water pipe diameter should be the same as the pipe diameters at the gas boiler’s outlet and return port.
7. The slope of the main supply and return pipelines for natural circulation water should be 3-5%. The air vent pipe should be positioned at the highest point of the system, and no valves shall be installed on it.
8. The drain valve should be installed at the lowest point of the system, and the bottom of the water replenishment tank must be higher than the water supply pipe. The automatic air vent valve must not be replaced with a vent opening, and the valve must not be installed or blocked.
9. When installing the flue pipe, it must extend outdoors with a downward slope of 5° to prevent condensation from flowing back and causing corrosion of the furnace body. No combustible materials should be placed around the flue pipe.
